Hello! 
My name is Charles Parkes III and I am running for U.S. Congress in District 1. 
I am simple family man who doesn't have any attachments to big business and who just wants to help make Texas better for everyone.  I am the proud father of two Autistic children and understand what the meaning of hard work is.  I am a believer of animal rights and keeping our environment clean.
I am a Substitute Teacher and a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler. 
I don't believe our decisions should be made on "party lines" but should be made from our hearts and what we feel is right.  Sometimes doing the right thing isn't popular and sometimes it isn't easy.  I believe in the root of our constitution, and that ALL people, no matter what race, religion, socio-economic status or color, should be treated with respect and dignity.  If I am elected I plan to put forth every effort for the future and I feel with your help we can make our state and our country a better place for our children.
